My name is Marygrace. I recently moved to Austin, TX with my husband, Sam, for him to attend grad school. During the day, I’m a writer for KIWI Magazine. After hours, I love to read, walk or bicycle around the city, take photos–oh, and cook. I love life, and it (pretty much) loves me back.

I’ve wanted to start a food blog since my freshman year of college, but living in a dorm provided only sporadic opportunities for cooking (i.e. visits home some weekends, winter holidays, and the summer). Now in my own place, I can cook as much as I want–and cook I do, every day! I’m a supporter of plant-based eating for reasons of compassion, both for animals and the planet. Further, people always make the case that vegetarian or vegan diets are inherently healthier than an omnivorous one–while this might be true, I certainly don’t think that’s the case by default. There’s more vegetarian/vegan analogs and convenience foods being made available everyday, and while it’s great that meat-free diets are getting more mainstream exposure, supporting that stuff isn’t really my thing. Here, you’ll find simple recipes based on whole, plant-based ingredients–nothing more, nothing less.
Welcome to the blog world!! Can’t wait to read more. Oh and I love KIWI magazine, haha :-D
